This study presents a comprehensive forensic toolkit for identifying the larvae of Piophila casei—commonly known as the "cheese skipper"—and examines the thermal development requirements of its immature stages. The findings contribute to forensic entomology by improving species-level identification and enhancing the estimation of post-mortem intervals (PMI) in medico-legal investigations.
